A Merry New Illustration

Back to my roots, now that I have some time I put together this illustration. Probably the most time I have spent on a single illustration for as long as I can remember. I hope you enjoy it and all the little details I have included! Merry Christmas!

Super Robot (Stephanie Rose) Illustration

Hello guys! School is over, I'm officially an official graphic design graduate...which means I will be having much more time to do neat stuff for this blog. I will post photos of the portfolio and my booth soon for anyone to see who couldn't attend, it was a blast.

As for this guy, I felt it had been a while since I made a new robot...so here he is, all shiny and new for the end of the year and to kick off my new career. Enjoy!

New Stuff

So I decided to post some stuff I have done at work lately to keep this blog from getting bland and boring while I finish up finals.

I got lots of ideas kicking around in my head that just can't wait to get out when I actually have the time to do them, but rest assured, you will be the first to see them...and probably the last!

Design Site Update and MOOOOORE

If you direct yourself to my design site: curtisedesign.com , you will find that I have put up a nice fancy Under Construction page up...go ahead, take a peek at it. This is because I am in the middle of overhauling portions of the site in preparation of my up coming graduation (Portfolio show is December 12, e-mail if you are interested in going and I will give you details).

I am very excited about all of this, I have been a busy bee behind the scenes getting all my stuff put together which is why I haven't been posting so much lately. I will post soon with pictures of all my stuff I have put together and printed recently, a sort of sneak peek before the show if you may.

So now, importantly, enjoy the Under Construction page...

oh yah, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

T-shirts times 3

So I did these illustrations a while back for a client for their t-shirts. I recently decided to use them in my portfolio and I have also created an accompanying tag to go with them. So here they are, please forgive me for slacking on posts :).

Business Cards

So here is a first shot at my personal business cards...as you may or may not know I am set to graduate in December and am currently working on my portfolio show set up. It was very much a difficult task for me even to arrive at this solution for my cards...there were MANY variations that I scrapped before this one which I think i like, what do you think?

Triangle #1

So me and my friend/co-worker Stephanie decided it would be a fun idea to do 10 mastheads in 10 days based around the word triangle. Just a fun exercise in design and creativity, so this is the first of ten!

Feel free to go to Stephanie's Blog and check out her posts too. You MAY even feel like leaving her a comment? Or me a comment? They are always wellcome :D.

Enjoy!

Illustration Friday - Wedding

In honor of my recent visit to an exhibit of Audrey Kawasaki, I decided to do a change in style and put a little twist of Audrey's girls into this piece. This is a sad yet sweet image, much like many of Audrey's, of a young girl on her wedding day. Read into it all you must, I had a lot of fun doing it and it was refreshing to try something a little different. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something...that is now an illustration friday post, enjoy!

New Threadless Illustration

I had this idea kicking around for a while, an idea I felt good enough for a Threadless submission. Though when I went to post it, I decided to do a quick check on google to see if the idea had been done before since I didn't feel it was TOO terribly un-obvious. Sad to say, a similar, yet different idea (the poop was real, gross huh?) had been submitted a few years back, but since I feel mine is better executed and has the balloon poo rather than then real thing, I felt I would submit it anyways.

I will post the voting when it becomes available, thanks for looking! Enjoy!
