Don't you wish your robot was hot like me.

So, I have been slacking on the posts lately, maybe im a bit burnt out. But I have some good news, here is a post today! Things are looking up, im excited to be recieving my copy of my book tomorrow and I will report on if it turned out any good. For this post I have two new designs, one a sticker and the other a shirt. Would anybody be interested in any of these? no matter what I will make them but I duno if anyone else cares much for them, so let me know. Also, I am going to start working on another book, this one in the format of a childrens book (for children from 1 to 92 ofcoarse) entitled "My Trip to the Misfit Dog Pound". I'm focusing on keeping the cost down on this one so it will be less than 20 bucks to buy, then it would be more worth the money. It should all be much fun in the end.

Mr. Elliott Design Vol. 1 is ready for launch!
Well, I thought this would take me longer, but once I got the ball rolling I couldn't stop, so I stayed up all night and put together my very first book. This one concentrates more on my personal design rather than my "professional" work (if you can call it that). So maybe the next one will focus more on that boring stuff. So anywho, here it is, in hardcover or softcover (I believe in freedom of choice), just follow the link at the bottom and order the book and all it's 40 pages of glory!

Some more boring words...
So I realize this is a design blog, and here I am posting my third post in a row without any designs. Well, I've been busy on them, I've actually started on another little series of robot posters, this time around with now general theme of a band or anything, just some good old fun robots. Also, I finished my screen for the first office Mr. Elliott Design T-Shirt, so if you want one either provide 5 bucks and I will print you one or provide a shirt and I will get around to printing it for you eventually. So next time I promise a new design, check back soon, my break from school is coming and with that new found time comes new found design. See ya.

A little update
So I thought I would give you an update on my progress with things design related. The book I spoke about earlier is underway, I already did about 30 pages of it, but I don't think I'm very happy with it. I think I'm going to scrap it and start over, because you people deserve more from it! This other book will be even more awsome and eye candy infested (hopefully), so hopefully that will be finished in the next couple weeks. Also, the shirts I had mentioned before are underway as well, I have the design completed and have botten the supplies and shirts to print on, now I just need to get a bunch of homework out of the way tonight and tomorrow I will print them up. So if you had mentioned to me that you wanted one, you will be getting one soooooooooon. And if you are getting one, a donation of $5 a shirt is welcome, because I am a starving artist and need to money! Well, hope all is well with everyone (all 5 of you), see you later.

In Memory of Bo Bo Elliott...

Today is a sad day, I'm sad to say that my dag Bo has passed on due to cancer. So I would like to dedicate this post to him, my dog, the family dog, who would so happily snarl at us as we came through the door everyday. I bet he's somewhere better though, better than this stinky old house, in a heaven where everyone scratches his chest and he can lick his balls and chew on his back all day.

There's a Robot in my pocket.

So here it is, the one and only Mr. Elliott Design T-Shirt! Get it while it's hot! Well, heres my design for my very first T-shirt that I hope to screen print this weekend, which will also be my very first screen printing experience! yay me. So I hope you like it, let me know if you would like one, I will print up a variety of sizes and sell them to ya for cost, no profit here, just some good old shameless promotion of the brand of me! Thanks for coming!

Mr. Elliott Design Vol. 1

So it's been pretty much a week since my last post, which is the longest time I've waited between postings, but I have good reason. First off I haven't been just sitting around, things at school have been kicking up a bit but I've still been working on some more design goodness of my own. After a weekend of horrible computer trouble which ended with me having to re-install the entire OS on both my desktop and my laptop, I got to working on two promotional pieces for purchase (for cheap cheap cheap cheap!) because it gives me something to do with myself since the posters are done. First off is a t-shirt design I'm working on and will post later this week when I've finalized the design. Second is the big one and will take about a month before it's ready. I've decided to print up a book of all my favorite projects I've created on my free time, in school and so far at work. I'm already in the works of planning the book out and designing it's layout and what goes in and such. In this post is the working art for the cover that I put together tonight, I hope you like it, tell me what you think and I will keep you posted on how to get the book once it's finished. I'm really excited about this and even if no one ends up getting the darned thing it still will be worth it.

Call me a liar

So earlier I lied, I said I was done with the posters...but I did another. I guess I like doing them so much it was hard to sit around doing nothing when I had an idea in my head for another poster. So here it is, number 7 of my posters, i felt the Robot Factory needed one last poster design. So hopefully in the future on this blog I will be having more non-robot poster related design posts to stir things up a bit. Hope you like this one, it's probably (most likely) the last one.
The Triple Threat

So here we have my final three posters from the series i've been designing for myself and the band Robot Factory. For now this is it until I figure out how to get these screen printed (fingers crossed because I'm just learning). You may recognize one of them from a previous post but I changed to background to make it fit in with the series a little better and for that reason I am re-posting it. Enjoy.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is right...
So I've always had an interest in animation, in fact it was my original choice of art majors before I didn't feel like learning to draw that well and I found my love for Graphic Design, so when I had a chance to create a video for my class I decided to go for an animated kind of short. So in the vein of South Park, I cut out my pieces of paper and scanned them in and animated them all for the love of you guys....or for the love of the grade. Hope you like it!
P.S. If you haven't yet, check out my Cool Site links on the right of the page. The Daily Monster just ended today but you can go back and watch all hundred of the wonderful monsters Mr. 344 drew. Also, my "other" site is in there for you to take a gander at and even contact me if you'd like, and even check out Digg (my fav) and Gizmodo for a tech news lovin' good time.

Raindrops keep falling on my Head

And here's another poster, number 4 to be exact, in my small series of posters that i'm designing around the theme of robots and me. When I did this one my girlfriend criticized me saying, "it's doesn't make sense that his thought bubble is raining on him". And to that I say, doesn't everyone get down from their own thoughts sometimes? I mean, isn't the source of most of our sadness our very own selves? I would say so, so this poster actually has alot more personal meaning than most things I design, despite what my girlfriend will tell you. Look close and see many little symbols and meaning, I dare you. Number 5 is on the way, hopefully it will be the best of the bunch because for now its the last of the series. Thanks for visiting and have a GRAND weekend.
